Things That Are Awesome – August 2010
I say there, what arst thou doing? Would thou likest to see something most awesome?
Then PREPARE THYSELF FOR….

Maybe J.J. Abrams had it right?
Everyone really railed against J.J. for his use of Lens flares. But then again, considering all the flares going on here, this being done NATURALLY, I really don’t think I’m gonna knock him for over-using it ever again.
Speaking of J.J’s Star Trek…
Just click here. Watch and be amazed at the awesomeness!
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
One of the BEST MOVIES OF THE SUMMER next to INCEPTION was Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, based on the book by Bryan Lee O’Malley, but yet, it failed to find an audience. As someone who was blown away, and other friends who were blown away by the movie, I sincerely suggest you check it out before it leaves theaters.
Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis: Sean Penn
Zak G. interviews one of the most serious actors of our times. Well done, Sean Penn. I earned respect for you.
Ryan Reynolds is literally just that awesome
We go over a lot of awesome things here on TTAA so covering Ryan Reynolds is old hat. Or would be, if this had been going on longer. But I digress: At San Diego Comic-Con 2010, while some people were stabbing others in the eye with a pen (not kidding about that) there were awesomeness abound for some small child who asked Ryan Reynolds if he says the Green Lantern’s Oath. Not only does he say yes, he… well…
And with that said, that is it for this week’s THINGS THAT ARE AWESOME for August, 2010. Hope you enjoyed some of the things I thought were awesome and if you did, or heck, even if you didn’t? Comment away!! :D Or link to someone else so they can! And until next week… be AWESOME!
BUT with that said.. lately, when I go to the EGN website beyond the comics, the blog section just seems like a never-ending collection of things that are awesomes. No one is commenting, so it’s not creating any sense of conversation, for the most part, so… I’m going to retire this to once month or so. So expect the next one in September, 2010. ;) Hope you’re not disappointed but, yeah. :) Thanks for reading! See you next month!
